Rich has been a valued member of the family business since 2007, bringing years of experience and dedication to his role. He oversees the day-to-day operations at our Launceston site, ensuring everything runs smoothly for our customers. His knowledge and hands-on approach have played a vital part in the planning and development of our new indoor facility, helping to create a space that meets the needs of both personal and business storage customers. Rich is always on hand to offer advice or answer any questions.

You might recognise Hayley from her time at Colwills Garage. Now part of the Bude Self Storage team, she has been working on reception at our Bude and Launceston offices for over a year. Hayley is always ready to welcome customers with a smile and provide helpful information on storage options. Everything You Need to Know
We’ve compiled answers to the most common inquiries, covering topics like pricing, booking in advance, access hours, and security. Find the information you need to make your storage experience seamless and convenient.
The cost of storage depends upon the size of container you rent. You are welcome to come and have a look around, a member of staff will be more than happy to offer advice.
Office opening hours:
Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
Saturday 9am – 12 Noon
We recommend it. Although we are happy for our customers to turn up on the day we advise booking a unit in advance. If you do book a unit and you find it’s too big/too small when you arrive we are more than happy to move you (subject to availability).
Of course, you can choose from any of our available units.
You will need to bring with you two forms of identity; one as proof of your name (a passport, driving Licence or benefit book etc); and one as proof address (a utility bill, bank statement etc) and means of payment that is not cash.
We only require 7 days notice of your intention to vacate your unit. Notice by phone call is sufficient.
You are welcome to move to another size container at any time, depending on the availability. You are not required in these circumstances to give notice.
Yes, all customers are required to padlock their unit. We loan high security padlocks on deposit or you can bring your own (padlock should have a shackle no bigger than 10mm).
We offer a number of payment options:
- All major credit card and debit card (excluding American Express).
- Cheques.
- Standing orders and BACS.
- Cash (excluding move-in).
We generally invoice customers monthly although we are more than happy for our customers to pay on a weekly basis.
If it’s worth storing it’s worth insuring. We strongly recommend that you insure your goods in storage, this can be normally be arranged through a home contents policy or be provided by a 3rd party provider.
Our minimum storage period is one month. But you are welcome to stay for as long as you require.
24 hour CCTV located outside the building, monitoring the entrances/exits.
No, we offer unlimited access to your goods within office hours so you can add or remove items from your storage unit whenever you require.
